Article 1 (Purpose)
The purpose of these Terms is to set out the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the Company and Members when a member (meaning a person who has agreed to these Terms; hereinafter the "Member") uses the Sanlog location-based service (hereinafter the "Service") provided by 스프라우트그로우랩스 (hereinafter the "Company").
Article 2 (Effect and Amendment of Terms)

- The Company posts the contents of these Terms on the initial screen of the Service, or announces them by other means, so that Members can easily find them.
- The Company may amend these Terms if it deems necessary. When the Company amends the Terms, it will announce the existing Terms, the amended Terms, the effective date of the amended Terms, and the reasons for the amendment, together with the current Terms, from 7 days before the effective date until a reasonable period after the effective date. However, if the amendment is unfavorable to Members, the Company will post and announce this on the Service website from 30 days before the effective date until a reasonable period after the effective date.
- Where, in making the announcement or notice under the preceding paragraph, the Company has clearly stated that Members will be deemed to have approved the amendment unless they express an objection by 7 days after the effective date of the amended Terms (counted from the date of announcement, notice, or notification), and a Member expresses no objection, the Member is deemed to have approved the amended Terms. If a Member does not agree to the amended Terms, the Member may terminate the usage agreement.

Article 6 (Content of the Service)
- As a rule, the Service is available 24 hours a day, every day of the year. However, the Service may be temporarily suspended for the Company's business or technical reasons, and also during periods set by the Company for operational purposes. In such cases the Company will make an announcement either before or after.
- Depending on the Member's device settings, at the time the Member starts hike tracking or uses location-based features such as summit check-in, the Company receives location information in the form of latitude, longitude, and elevation from a location information business operator, or collects the shooting location information contained in photos the Member selects for summit check-in and in content the Member creates or saves (hike records, summit photos, Echoes, and the like). Location information is collected only where the Member has allowed location and photo access on the device, and is used only while the app is in use. The Company may convert the collected location information into values used to determine whether it corresponds to a particular mountain or peak or an administrative district (city or province).
- The types and contents of the services the Company provides on the basis of this location information are set out below. However, the Company may suspend or change some of the services exemplified below for managerial or business reasons, and will take action on this as prescribed by relevant laws and these Terms.

| Summit and mountain check-in | Verifies whether the Member's location falls within the radius of a particular peak (a value set for each mountain or peak, generally 30 m to 100 m) and within the elevation condition, and certifies 'summit arrival (planting a flag)'. On the basis of a certified 'summit arrival', it is used for granting eligibility to write a summit Echo, summit check-in using the shooting location contained in photos (including batch check-in), and finalizing hike records. The same standards apply not only to Korea but also to overseas mountains such as those in Japan, the US, the UK, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. | As provided by relevant laws and paragraph 5 |
| Providing convenience in using the Service | Displays the Member's location information on map and hike screens to improve convenience (showing the live tracking route, checking distances to and information on nearby mountains, and the like). Provides suggestions and autocomplete when searching for mountains and peaks or writing hike records, and provides writing convenience by using location information contained in content the user posts (Echoes, summit journals, hike reviews). | |
| Providing and recommending in-Service content | Provides and recommends in-app content based on the Member's location information or on whether it belongs to a particular mountain, peak, or administrative district (city or province) (recommending nearby mountains and courses, sorting and unlocking regional Echo feeds, recommending nearby community content, sorting search results, displaying advertisements, and the like). | |
| Advancing the content of the Service | Through statistical analysis of Members' location information, defines mountains and regions of interest, areas of activity, estimated routes, and the like, and on that basis provides and advances various application services such as search, recommendations, and content display. | |
| Preventing misuse | Uses Members' location information to block abnormal summit check-in and attempts to use the Service. |
- Pursuant to Article 16, paragraph 2 of the Location Information Act, the Company automatically records and preserves in the location information system the records confirming the collection, use, and provision of location information, and retains such records for at least 6 months.
